To mark the International Studies Association (ISA) Annual Convention 2015, being held in New Orleans, we  commissioned a special virtual issue that highlights recent articles published in international studies by Politics. This diverse collection demonstrates both the range of material that we have published in international studies in terms of empirical focus, methodological commitments, and theoretical orientations as well as its quality. Thus, we hope that this special virtual issue conveys our commitments to pluralism and research led reflections on the state of the art, the state of the field, and the state of disciplinary pedagogy in international studies.
