In 2015, Politics entered its 35th year of publication. In a series of posts over the next few months, we will be using Google Scholar to identify the most cited articles in five year intervals from 1981. Not only does this exercise reveal some gems, it also provides an interesting time-lapse of the academic zeitgeist and changes to the norms of scholarly convention. Enjoy!
